Nicosia. The Procurator  broadens the inquiry with a case of forgery

The Procurator Scavone instructed the Corps to deepen the forest
requests for construction of the submissions by the “Aerochetto” to Sicily

NICOSIA. To investigate the hypothesis is false, the story of the wind farm Giunchetto, for which the Public Procurtor in Nicosia has opened an investigation file to the initial hypothesis of environmental violations and noise pollution. An examination of documents, projects and documents
seized in recent months to the Regional Energy Agency, began to emerge some unclear aspects, which now focus on the investigation.
To open the file in November 2010 was the chief prosecutor Fabio Scavone, following a complaint lodged by local residents. The prosecutor gave the delegation of investigations into the core of Pg of Forestry, which dealt with an enormous amount of documents relating to the system created by the company “Aerochetto.
It now appears that the investigators’ attention is focused on “the Way”, the
environmental impact assessment document that could not be
been issued by the Region to the same construction company for the construction
of the wind towers. If this hypothesis were confirmed, the wind farm would be built without regular authorizations. The decree by which the Regional Department of Land and Environment has authorized the construction of the park Giunchetto would actually based on a “Way” that concerned the construction of a link road
between different plots of land and not to raise the wind turbines.
If this hypothesis, which is taking place from the documents and
of the different licenses were to be confirmed, in fact the wind turbines would be
were built without obtaining the Environmental Impact Assessment
and more on land expropriated or acquired by the company unlawfully
because even the eminent domain would be released
by the region for the construction of the road and not the wind farm.
The wind turbines would be, in this case, constructed and installed improperly.
Basically if irregularities were committed, they have played on the interpretation of the documents of authorization issued for a type of work and then used to
endorse another that, since the wind farm producing 30 megawatts
generated from 35 turbines, certainly has a good environmental impact
more than a farm road. It is obvious that if this hypothesis
will be upheld, the result is a heavy responsibility on the part of offices
which issued the permits and of those who failed to
check the correctness of all procedures. The hypothesis for which the Prosecutor shall
in addition to the abuse of office and environmental damage that is false.
