Google has partnered with Good Energies, Marubeni, and Trans-Elect for the Atlantic Wind Project Connection, is to create, at 15-25 km away from the U.S. Atlantic coast, a network of wind turbines for a total of 6,000 related MWatt with a ridge about 600 km long, from New Jersey to Virginia.

According to the Google search engine this project is “a superhighway for clean energy” which should become operational in 2021, although the first part could start producing in 2016. The total cost for the project is estimated at 5 billion dollars, while the first phase of implementation would require 1.8 billion. E ‘therefore a massive project as it would provide power for nearly 2 million households, and is equivalent to 60% of the total power installed last year in the United States, compared to the power provided by wind turbines.
